Being together in the same place. A temporary place.

From commuting to exhibiting, co-presence is here presented under the light of coexistence within a temporary shared place. Being temporarily together, the co-presence of the mind and the object within the space.

One of the definition proposed by the Oxford Reference website for co-presence, reads as follow: “In presence studies, how an individual's sense of ‘being there’ in a virtual environment is affected by the presence of others who are also inside the simulation in the form of avatars.” The audience as avatars, embodying co-presence in a simulated space that will no longer exist, are invited to engage with the presence of the objects in order to realise their embodiment. This simultaneous presence of the object and the mind is laying the ground for its own legitimization, for a moment.

15 artists are taking position for the time in between.
